Life-Affirming Truths

Cathy Schneider, pro-life advocate

Hear stories of sidewalk saves, relationships formed, and abortion clinics closing from a long-time pro-life advocate who goes above and beyond in providing prayers, assistance, and follow-up with women who are considering abortion. Cathy Schneider shares how praying at a clinic is a place of peace, where women are given hope, encouragement, and a life-affirming choice. Cathy exemplifies one who knows what it means to be called by God to action in defending and protecting life, something we are all called to do. Although the number of pregnancy aid clinics in Georgia far outweigh the death option and more abortions are happening through the abortion pill, Cathy stresses that abortion clinics do remain; when we show up where death is happening, we have an opportunity to save a life, loving and honoring God in the process.

Resources

  • Scripture truths regarding being called to action to defend and protect life: Leviticus 19:16 - “Do not stand by idly when your neighbor’s life is at stake. I am the LORD.” Proverbs 24:10-12 - “Did you fail in a day of adversity, did your strength fall short? Did you fail to rescue those who were being dragged off to death, those tottering, those near death, because you said, “We didn’t know about it”? Surely, the Searcher of hearts knows and will repay all according to their deeds.” Matthew 25:40, 45-46 - “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me. Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me. And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” Proverbs 31:8-9 - “Open your mouth in behalf of the mute, and for the rights of the destitute; Open your mouth, judge justly, defend the needy and the poor!”
  • Proclaim My Word’s “Victory Is In The Praise” study. Cathy prayed the litany of praise from this study and credits it for playing a major role in the closing of the abortion clinic.
  • Pro-life Minutes on The Quest: one-minute reflections on the sanctity of life to help articulate pro-life views with concise yet powerful messages and encourage speaking up for life at every opportunity.
  • The Life Rosary by Mary Sambo: a rosary reflection book containing powerful prayers to end abortion and heal hearts. Author Mary Sambo had an abortion in her past and through a healing retreat from her abortion she was inspired to write this book. Cathy recalls how when prayer warriors first started praying the rosary this way in front of the clinic, they had three saves on the FIRST day.
  • 40 Days for Life: a coordinated 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion locally through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and a peaceful vigil in front of abortion businesses.
  • Petition from National Right to Life to drug stores asking them to stop dispensing deadly abortion pills
