18:37 – I’ve been a Christian all my life and was just brought into full communion with the Catholic Church last year. I’ve always loved the story of the Prodigal Son but I’ve always been curious of what his brother represents. Is it simply jealousy and pride? Or does he signify something deeper.
29:00 – My spouse is protestant. He doesn’t want the sacrament of confirmation since he thinks it is against scripture, since scripture tells us not to make vows / oaths. He’s hung up on submitting to a Church and all it teaches. Can you help address his concern?
37:17 – Thanks for offering this again! I’m always cooking dinner when the show is live and never have free hands to call in. I have a question about the myth that most Catholic Holidays are based on Pagan holidays. I know from listening to Shameless Popery that Christmas is not on December 25 because of other pagan holidays, but it’s hard to convince other Catholics this, because many reputable Catholic sources feed this myth. For example, the St. Joseph’s Sunday Missal has a blurb in the Liturgy section stating that the date was chosen in part because of pagan winter solstice festivals. If the early Christians were so adamant at separating themselves from the pagans, why is there so much disagreement among reputable Catholic sources?

My Question: In Galatians 2:11-21, Paul confronts/rebukes Peter for refusing to eat with gentiles: “”11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong.”” If the successor of Peter says, thinks or does something “”very wrong,”” who, when and how is the successor confronted/rebuked or corrected?”

It would be great if you could take us all the way from leviticus to the images of the lamb (as sacrificed) in revelation. How are our offerings involved too?
37:10 – Does the fact that that Didache does not appear to refer specifically to the Real Presence (only mentions the “Eucharist”) pose a problem for the assertion that the Early Church did actually believe in the Real Presence, since the Didache was one of the earliest surviving documents that we have from the Early Church?
46:00 – Where does the Bible say that a book CAN’T be a valid part of the Old Testament unless it’s quoted from in the New Testament? (this Protestant line of reasoning seems like a “Tradition of Men” to me.)

In that passage, Paul seems to assert to his original audience that the end of history was near upon them, and gives them advice which only makes sense in that context. Paul seems to change his mind later on (in other letters). But in that spot, it really seems like an assertion which is untrue. But I say this, brothers: the time is shortened, that from now on even those who have wives should be as if they do not have wives, 30 and those who weep as if they do not weep, and those who rejoice as if they do not rejoice, and those who buy as if they do not possess 31 and those who make use of the world as if they do not make full use of it. For the present form of this world is passing away.

Can you please debunk this? 2 Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2 complete my joy, so that ⌊you are in agreement⌋, having the same love, united in spirit, ⌊having one purpose⌋. 3 Do nothing according to selfish ambition or according to empty conceit, but in humility considering one another better than yourselves, 4 each of you not looking out for your own interests⌋, but also each of you for ⌊the interests of others.
