A Carolina native who was raised as a Southern Baptist, Sonja Corbitt attended Mitchell College and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary center in Jackson, Tennessee, before converting to Catholicism. She has since served as director of religious education at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Gallatin, Tennessee, and executive director of Risen Radio in Lebanon,Tennessee. She lives in Tennessee with her husband, Bob, and their two sons.
